KMail E-mail Client Or Kontact A Complete Suite.
KMail for Linux is Kontact's e-mail client and supports folders, filtering, HTML and international character sets. The email client can handle IMAP, IMAP IDLE, dIMAP, POP3 and local mailboxes for incoming mail. KMail can send mail via SMTP or sendmail protocol.
It can forward HTML mail as attachment.
KMail uses two special filters to provide modular access to spam filtering programs:
Send this email to an application, let you specify which application can be specified, and when the KMail filter is enabled, the program will run and ship with the content of the email as the default entry.
KMail supports the OpenPGP standard and can automatically encrypt, decrypt, sign and verify signatures for emails and its attachments via either the inline or OpenPGP / MIME signing / encryption method.
KMail is dependent on GnuPG software for this functionality. As a visual tool, KMail will color verified emails green, for trusted signatures.
Yellow for non-reliable signatures, red for invalid signatures and blue for encrypted messages.
KMail supports S / MIME messages as well as Chiasmus, a proprietary cryptographic system created by the German Federal Information Security Information Center (BSI).
Kleopatra is both certificate managers and GnuPG GUIs. The software stores your OpenPGP certificates and keys. It is available for both Windows and Linux.
In connection with your KMail email client, you can also take advantage of the cryptographic features of your email communications.
How to install via a terminal window:
sudo apt-get install kmail
Press Enter.
Or if you want the entire Kontact suite with address book etc:
