PSL Presents A Bill That Criminalizes Distribution Of Games In Brazil.
Federal Deputy Nicolino Bozella Júnior (PSL-SP) presented to the House of Representatives a bill that criminalizes the distribution of games considered "violent", according to the authorities in Brazil.
The proposal speaks of changing "Decree-Law No. 2,848, of December 7, 1940 and Law No. 12,965, of April 23, 2014, to criminalize development, import, sale, borrowing, making available or renting applications or electronic games with content that incites violence". Currently, the bill is waiting for an approval by the mayor, Rodrigo Maia.
Bozella justifies the proposal by saying that the most violent games are "at least in part", responsible for criminal acts committed in schools and other places committed by young people - although he does not cite the massacre directly, it is safe to assume that the parliamentarian refers to what is known as the "Suzano Massacre", where gunmen Guilherme Taucci Monteiro and Luiz Henrique de Castro, both former students, killed five students and two school employees.
Before the attack in São Paulo, Brazil, in a trade near the school, the pair also killed the uncle of one of the killers. Then after the attack, one of the shooters killed his partner and then committed suicide.
Violent video game engagement is not associated with adolescents' aggressive behaviour: evidence from a registered report posted in The Royal Society, U.K. Another publishing of interest is Can computer games keep your brain fit?, by Harvard Health Publishing.
Also its worth noticing that the game industry makes twice as much per game as a hit movie in the movie theaters. I recommend watching Play Hard 2018, givin]g you the non-gaming politician a better insight into the gaming world and how much money it generates.
What is more interesting, then banning games, is the fact that "handheld" guns are now legalized in Brazil, a country ranked 84 on the list of most safe countries in the world and number four on List of cities by murder rate. To get a better picture, have a look here.
"Fuckiwith me and I will killyou", by hand, by knife or arms.
