Evolution - Microsoft ™ Outlook Option

Evolution is an email-client for Linux, it was my opinion, since it is 100% compatible with .doc, .docx etc that it was the best alternative choice out there.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

The webkit2gtk update released as 5396-1 introduced a compatibility
problem that caused Evolution to display e-mail incorrectly. Evolution
has been updated to solve this issue.

For the stable distribution (bullseye), this problem has been fixed in
version 3.38.3-1+deb11u2.

Linux desktop needs to continue to focus on creating nice looking GUI - graphical user interface applications and not only for the realm of business, but directed to the home users as well.

All users need to be aware that there are free options out there, just as good as the paid solutions.

Evolution combines email, address book, calendar, task list and listing features similar to Microsoft ™ Outlook and it supports PGP-encryption.

Its user interface and functionality are similar to Microsoft Outlook ™, but Evolution is free software licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (LGPL).

Seahorse - OpenPGP encryption support:

Seahorse is a Linux application that implements the OpenPGP standard in Evolution. With this software you can manage your keys and use cryptographic functions for files and texts. In conjunction with the Evolution email client, you can also use the encryption features for your communication.

Now encrypting your e-mail is smart, but your contacts or friends need to do the same and you need to exchange keys to read each other's messages. This might be a problem, for one, they might be Windows users and the other they might think that they have nothing to hide, so why should they. I mean cheating on your spouse don't count does it or that dick pick that your ISP caught and shared online ?

People are in general, very bad at online security and that is why there are so many information leaks.
